Wage increases starts the day the contract is approved by the members through a vote.
Travel
Travel Stipend of $450 per rotation for all employees travelling from outside of Prince George.
Employees travelling from Prince George will receive a $200 stipend.
Employees outside of Prince George can travel to Prince George from wherever as long as they give 5 day’s notice.
Union Health Care
-Union Health Care paid 100% by the Company! (See attached summary of benefits)
-100% coverage for prescription drugs
-100% coverage for basic dental, 85% for major dental
-$500 per practitioner (massage, physio, chiro, acupuncture) per person per year
-improved vision coverage, short term disability and much more.
Union Rights
-Agreement in place until camp closes!
-No subcontracting our jobs
-Managers cannot do our jobs
-No Harassment and Discrimination Protection, including requirement to perform an independent investigation
-20/10 rotation protections
-Shift length protections
-Seniority Rights for scheduling, shift preference, vacation requests, job postings, overtime and maximizing hours
-Layoff and Recall rights based on seniority
-Job Postings must be done internally and hired based on seniority before hiring from outside of camp.
-Job Steward and Shop Steward Rights so we can enforce our union contract
-Can only be disciplined for Just Cause. Disciplines fall off of your file after 12 months.
-Grievance Procedure- we have the right to challenge any discipline we feel is unfair

More Economics
-If you work half of your shift in a higher paid job, you must be paid that higher wage rate for the entire shift.
-Night Shift Premium of $0.55 per hour
-Split Shift premium of $0.45 per hour
-Kitchen Workload Protections that lay out staffing levels tied to client numbers.
-1st Cook assigned as Night Shift Supervisor shall be paid an additional $1 her hour (does not include night shift premium)
Housekeeping Workload Protections
(much better than Crossroads Housekeeping Workload!)
-No more than 29 rooms in a single shift
-No more than 36 points per shift (including one walkdown worth 2 points)

If a housekeeper is assigned rooms in more than one Regular Room dorm, she shall be allotted an additional one (1) point per additional dorm for travel time.
If a housekeeper is assigned rooms in a “Wellsite,” she shall be allotted an additional 1.5 points for travel time.
If a housekeeper is assigned an additional walkdown or assigned to vacuum a hallway in an additional dorm, she shall be allotted an additional two (2) points.
At the Wellsite, a Housekeeper shall not be assigned more than 8 checkout rooms in a single shift. In this instance, she shall be assigned no other rooms to clean.
In Regular Room Dorms, a Housekeeper shall not be assigned more than 10 checkout rooms in a single shift. In this instance, she shall be assigned no other rooms to clean.
If there are more than 500 guests staying at the Lodge, a Janitor shall be assigned to sort and deliver linens.
And guaranteed 11-hour shifts for all housekeepers!
